Mosrite Ventures II/Mark V
guitar, bass & Mel-O-Bar
1965–69
Mosrite’s cheapest electric guitar at it’s time, the guitar Johnny Ramone has used as his main guitar his entire Ramones career from 1974 to 1996. Originally designed as a student model, a few months later changed to a more elaborate model with German carve, Moseley vibrato, bigger pickups.
Mosrite's last U.S.A. years
guitar & bass
1976–96
Mosrite’s last two decades of guitars made in the U.S.A.. Semie Moseley was working with a small team, making something like one guitar per day – there are series of guitars but also a lot of one-offs, proto-types, custom mades.
And Now for Something Completely Different
Bill Lewis
Custom
24 frets
guitar
What do The Cramps and Pink Floyd have in common? Yes, the Bill Lewis Custom 24 frets guitar!
While David Gilmour used it for some special solos on „Dark side of the Moon“, Poison Ivy Rorschach decided to use it as her main guitar for all live shows and probably all studio and demo recordings from 1976 to 1984.
Here you will find some info – perhaps some more info than anywhere else – about that extremely rare and extremely pretty guitar.
There’s a real chance to list all Bill Lewis Customs ever made as there are less than 30 made between 1969 and 1971.
The guitars of
Johnny Ramone
The original idea of a Johnny Ramone guitar list is from Ian Harper’s site Rockometer.com, one of the very early Mosrite/Ramones resources.
However, since that site has not been updated for a long time here’s an up-to-date list of Johnny Ramone’s guitars.
