Designed as a prototype for Standel by Semie Moseley, soon to become Mosrite’s own “Joe Maphis model” in the early 60s, renamed to “Ventures model” (Mark I) in 1963.

Ventures II/Mark V

1965–69
Mosrite’s cheapest electric guitar at it’s time, the guitar Johnny Ramone has used as his main guitar his entire Ramones career from 1974 to 1996. Originally designed as a student model, a few months later changed to a more elaborate model with German carve, Moseley vibrato, bigger pickups.

The last U.S.A. years

1976–95
Mosrite’s last two decades of guitars made in the U.S.A.. Semie Moseley was working with a small team, making something like one guitar per day – there are series of guitars but also a lot of one-offs, proto-types, custom mades.
